The associations, trade unions and French political parties undersigned, members of the National collective for a fair and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis, are deeply concerned with the fate of Andrey Pshenishnikov, young Israeli citizen currently detained in Egypt.<\/strong> Andrey, age 24, after having completed his 3 years’ military obligations, shocked by the crimes of occupation, decided to renounce to his Israeli citizenship and asked for the Palestinian citizenship.<\/div>\n
Andrey spent several months in Paris where he took actively part in the protests against Human Rights violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupier. We can bear testimony of his commitment to the Palestinian cause, which is not subject to any doubt as far as we are concerned.<\/div>\n
His will to join at any cost a delegation, mainly French, travelling to Gaza at the end of December, even after both his passports, Russian and Israeli, had been confiscated by the Israeli border police, hence his attempt to cross illegally the Egyptian border, may be judged as a proof of stubborness and childish recklessness, but does not constitute a serious crime.<\/div>\n
We demand therefore that the Egyptian authorities release Andrey .<\/strong><\/div>\n
Concerned by what could happen to him if he were deported to Israel, we also ask the French government to grant him political asylum, if he asks for it.<\/div>\n

<\/a>Les associations, syndicats et partis politiques fran\u00e7ais soussign\u00e9s, membres du Collectif national pour une paix juste entre Palestiniens et Isra\u00e9liens, s’inqui\u00e8tent fortement de la situation d’Andrey Pshenishnikov,\u00a0jeune isra\u00e9lien actuellement d\u00e9tenu en Egypte.<\/strong> Andrey, \u00e2g\u00e9 de 24 ans, apr\u00e8s avoir effectu\u00e9 ses trois ans de service militaire, indign\u00e9 par les crimes de l’occupant, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de renoncer \u00e0 sa nationalit\u00e9 isra\u00e9lienne et a demand\u00e9 la nationalit\u00e9 palestinienne.<\/div>\n
<\/a>Andrey a pass\u00e9 plusieurs mois \u00e0 Paris, o\u00f9 il a particip\u00e9 activement aux actions de protestation contre les violations des droits de l’Homme perp\u00e9tr\u00e9es par l’occupant isra\u00e9lien en Palestine. Nous pouvons t\u00e9moigner de son engagement aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de la cause palestinienne qui ne fait aucun doute pour nous.<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/a>Sa volont\u00e9 de rejoindre \u00e0 tout prix une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation principalement fran\u00e7aise qui se rendait \u00e0 Gaza fin d\u00e9cembre 2012, m\u00eame apr\u00e8s la confiscation de son passeport russe et de son passeport isra\u00e9lien par la police isra\u00e9lienne, d’o\u00f9 sa tentative d’entrer ill\u00e9galement en Egypte, peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une preuve d’ent\u00eatement et d’imprudence juv\u00e9nile mais ne constitue pas un crime s\u00e9rieux.<\/div>\n
<\/a>Nous demandons donc aux autorit\u00e9s \u00e9gyptiennes de lib\u00e9rer Andrey.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/a>Inquiets aussi du sort qui pourrait lui \u00eatre r\u00e9serv\u00e9 en Isra\u00ebl s’il \u00e9tait d\u00e9port\u00e9 vers ce pays, nous souhaitons que le gouvernement fran\u00e7ais lui accorde, s’il en fait la demande, l’asile politique en France.<\/div>\n
